Best PlayStation 5 Deals in the UK 2026
PS5 Slim pricing across Argos, Currys, Amazon UK, John Lewis, and Game. Plus the bundle math that beats buying console and games separately.
The UK PS5 hunt ended when the Slim launched in late 2023. Prices have settled into a steady band: around £429-489 for the disc edition and £389-429 for digital. Here is where the legitimate stock sits this week.
Where to buy in the UK
- Argos tends to have the sharpest PS5 pricing in the UK. Click-and-collect from a local store beats home delivery, both for speed and for not leaving a console on your doorstep.
- Amazon UK matches Argos on the base SKU and dips lower during Lightning Deals. Prime delivery makes it the path of least resistance for most people.
- Currys runs PS5 bundle promotions, console plus two games plus an extra controller, several times a quarter. When one is live, the bundle beats buying separately by £40-80.
- John Lewis matches the price and adds its standard 2-year guarantee for nothing. For longer protection without paying for an extended warranty, the slight faff pays off.
- Game still earns a look as a specialist, especially with something to trade in. Their bundles often fold in preowned games that push the total value past the competition.
Disc edition or digital edition?
The disc edition runs around £40-60 over digital, and for most people it earns the gap. Physical games go far cheaper used (CeX, GAME, Facebook Marketplace), you can resell or trade them, and PS Plus discounts on digital titles do not stretch far against a game you bought new.
Digital makes sense if you only play first-party Sony games and you plan to subscribe to PS Plus Extra for the rotating catalog. Otherwise the disc edition pays for itself inside three or four games.
The bundle math worth knowing
A standalone PS5 Slim disc edition runs around £450. Add a decent second DualSense at £60 and two new first-party games at £60-70 each, all bought separately, and you are at £620-650.
Currys runs promotions where that exact set, console plus two games plus an extra controller, bundles for £530-560. That is £80-120 off the unbundled price for the same items. Watch the big retail moments: Black Friday, Boxing Day, the January sales, Easter, and the back-to-school window.
What about the PS5 Pro?
The PS5 Pro launched in late 2024 at £700 in the UK and has not budged. For most people it is hard to justify. The Slim runs every current PS5 game at perfectly acceptable settings, and the Pro's stronger GPU and AI upscaling mostly surface in first-party showcase titles.
Buy the Pro if you own a 4K 120Hz OLED, play mainly first-party Sony games, and you are happy to pay £250 more for a modest visual bump. Otherwise the Slim is the better value.
