Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Nigeria: Where to Buy + What to Pay 2026

The Galaxy S24 Ultra has held its price unusually well in Nigeria. Here is where to find it cheapest across local and cross-border, plus whether the S25 Ultra arrival is worth waiting for.

When a Havlo reader wants a real alternative to the iPhone, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the Android phone we send them to. The 200MP camera has the longest telephoto reach of any phone, the S Pen earns its keep if you take notes, and the build holds its own against anything Apple ships.

The surprise is how stubborn the price has been. Most S-series phones shed 25-30% of their value in year two. The S24 Ultra has dropped only about 12% since launch. Here is where to find it cheapest.

Buying locally in Nigeria

  • Slot carries units distributed by Samsung Nigeria with a full regional warranty, around ₦1.45-1.55M for the 256GB Titanium Black. The highest-confidence way to buy in the country.
  • 3C Hub usually lists ₦50-100k below Slot on the same SKU. Still genuine stock with a Samsung warranty.
  • Konga and Jumia stock the widest range of variants, foreign-used and refurbished included, at lower prices. Read the seller details closely. Some are grey-market US/EU units with no Samsung Nigeria warranty support.
  • Pointek has been aggressive on the 512GB configuration lately, sometimes undercutting Slot by ₦80-150k.

Snapdragon vs Exynos, and why it does not matter here

Samsung normally splits the Galaxy S line into two chipset versions: North America gets the Qualcomm Snapdragon, much of Europe and parts of Asia get Samsung's own Exynos. The S24 Ultra broke the pattern. Every region got the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and no Exynos version exists.

So the chipset costs you nothing cross-border. A unit shipped from any region runs the same chip and the same performance.

The cross-border math

Amazon US lists the Galaxy S24 Ultra 256GB unlocked at around $1,099. Add shipping and Lagos customs, typically 15% on phones, and the delivered total comes to roughly ₦1.20-1.30M. That undercuts the same SKU at Slot by ₦150-300k.

On a phone you will keep three or four years, that is real money. The tradeoff is warranty service. Samsung's international warranty officially covers the device anywhere Samsung operates, but in practice Samsung Nigeria service centers have demanded proof of local purchase before honoring a claim. If warranty cover matters to you, pay the local premium.

Should you wait for the S25 Ultra?

The S25 Ultra arrived in early 2025 with incremental changes: slightly better night photography, sharper AI features, a small battery gain. The S24 Ultra is still 90% of that phone for ₦300-450k less.

Wait for the S25 Ultra if you lean hard on AI features or plan to keep the phone four years or more. For nearly everyone else, the S24 Ultra remains the better value, so skip the wait.
